$10.00 - Medium, bloom size $15.00 – Large, bloom size This red hybrid is a cross between S. leucophylla and S. x ‘Willisii’, an English hybrid. S. ‘Daina’s Delight’ was created by Mark Edwards of New Zealand who named it after his daughter. It was introduced into tissue culture in the U.S.A. by Kim Magnuson, currently of Hawaii. 18” to 24” erect yellow-green pitchers are suffused with pink to deep red coloring, with white areoles, and red veins on the upper parts of the pitchers and the rippled lids. The red coloration becomes more intense as the pitchers age, approaching red-black. Medium-large red flowers.

$10.00 - Medium, bloom size This highly ornamental hybrid was created and grown by Alan Hindle, chosen at California Carnivores and named after Alan’s wife, registered by Peter D’Amato, California Carnivores. S. ‘Judith Hindle’ is a result of a cross made in 1985 of S. (leucophylla x flava var. ‘rugelli’) x S. purpurea ‘chipola’. Height to 20", erect yellow-green pitchers with dark red to deep plum-red veins. The upper parts of the pitcher tube and the large ruffled lids are suffused with pink, and dark red to deep plum-red and spotted with white areoles. A striking beauty. Medium-large dark red flowers. |

$10.00 – Medium, bloom size This highly colored and compact hybrid was created by Bob Hanrahan. Bob’s son, Brian and Brian’s fiancée, Jennifer named the plant on 8/7/2002, a week before their wedding. S. ‘Scarlet Belle’ is the best plant selected from a group of S. x wrigleyana seedlings - S. (leucophylla x psittacina). It produces a rosette of curved erect to semi erect, 10” to 14” tall yellow-green pitchers, suffused with deep red color, veined with red and dotted with white areoles on upper pitcher and curved, horned or bell shaped hoods. It becomes a compact, clump forming plant, producing many pitchers throughout the growing season. Looks good in the Winter. |
